The Sparrows Forest

As you walk along the hiking trail in the forest you suddenly decide that you want to create a new path just for you. So you finish the walk to the river and look for a way to cross. You pause thinking my parents would be mad if they knew I was breaking the number one rule. But hey they said i was a freak anyway. So you cross the river using your "strange" power.

After a few steps you see a path, not really used looking, but there were fresh footsteps. You decide to walk along it and see where it goes. The trees are over grown and hung over the path, and got in my face. You see a line of trees, obviously planted in there.
"Ahh!" A girl with cat ears and a long white fluffy tail said, startled from behind the tree. She was peeking out, then disappeared. Soon she reappeared with a boy, he looked almost normal, except he had giant wings, they looked like an eagle.
They whispered back and forth a for a minute. I backed away hoping they wouldn't pursue me.
"Who are you? What can you do? Why are you here?" The boy asked.

Plot
Once we get enough members the plot will start. The idea is that the people who live here will be found by some government type guy. He wants to "Study" them for science. Then they all have to escape or die...

Looks like (pictures are allowed, but use a link): Going to draw one, but for now / Sort of short around 5 foot 4, she has bleached hair and is known to change it often, it is currently all blue, with black tips. She has blue-green eyes with long dark eyelashes. Shes on the skinny side but not really bad. Neko form/ dark black ears with a white heart on the tip of her right ear. A long white fluffy tail, though it is stained blue at the top.
History: Grew up in the orphanage nearby, but escaped and found her way to the forest. She as walking around in it when she met Hawke, who offered her a home. She's lived here since about age 12, and loves it.
Personality: Very shy at first, but once you get to know her you see shes one of those people with never ending patience. She's always ready to help and happy about it. She gets more like scared then she does mad.
Animal: Can turn into a partial cat, (neko) . Later in the roleplay she will learn how to use her powers better. Also, she has a choice of looking human or neko, though she prefers neko

Looks like (pictures are allowed, but use a link): (Also going to draw) Emo/scene style hair, but its dark brown and natural. Its very jagged. He is about 5 foot 7. He has bright blue eyes. He's part brown snake eagle. His wings are 7 feet from tip to tip.
History: Was left at the forest by his mother when he was about 8. He would stay at the library in a different town, which he flew to. He lived on the streets for a while but was drawn back to the place he last saw his mom. His mom had called him Hawke, although he was an eagle. He doesn't remeber his family at all. For about 4 years he's lived in the forest, and only one of those spent with Evelyn.
Personality: Very cautious, and careful. He has a habit of using sarcasim and not being the nice. he lived without much social interaction. Isn't the best at waiting but he trys.
Animal: Part bird, brown snake eagle

"Hawke! I saw a person across the river! What should we do?" Evelyn shouted, sightly freaking out. She didn't want her home to be discovered. Especially since they'd both get in a lot of trouble. She flicked her white tail back and forth, suddenly annoyed. She took a deep breathe and sighed. We'll be fine. I have no need to worry. Eevee thought to herself.


.:Hawke:.
"What's wrong Eevee? Who did you see?" Hawke nervously asked. He started walking towards the river and waited for the girl to respond. She jumped up from where she was sitting on the ground and went to him. He greeted her with a smile that quickly faded.
"She had brown hair, and she was just standing there." Evelyn tried to say nonchalantly
"How old do you think?" Hawke paused to step around a rock and caught his balance right before he toppled into Evelyn
Evelyn giggled and Hawke cursed under his breath that she had noticed.
"Oh I don't know, maybe 10 to 13?" Her smile was still there from the giggle.
"Why are you worrried then? Lets go check with her. Can you switch back to human you?"
"Sure!" She replied. She stopped and closed her eyes and the black ears almost like faded.
The two of them walked together towards the river.

I easily made my way over the river, changing quickly into a hawk and shifting as soon as I was a foot away from the ground. No need for anyone to spot me. The leaves rustled as I walked deeper into the forest and the animal sounds became louder. No one was here anyway. The tracks led me to nothing. So why should I be worried?

All of a sudden a twig snapped behind me.

Evelyn approached the girl from behind and watched her walk along. She told herself to be brave and while doing so she stepped on a twig. It snapped. The girl stopped walking and went to turn around. Evelyn decided to hold her ground and not hide. She begged herself not to get to worked up, knowing her cat side would show.
"Who are you?" Eevee asked sounding bold. She heard Hawke in a tree to her left but didn't do anything about it.

AJ turned around in a flash and instantly backed away from the girl.

"Who are you?" She asked, sounding confident of herself. What should I say? AJ thought to herself. Instead, panic got the best of her. She turned around and started running, trying to put as much distance between her and the girl as possible.

.:Hawke:.

Hawke quickly took flight and landed in front of her. He held out his hands and a peaceful way. Out of the corner of his eye he noticed a very cat like Evelyn walking up behind them. He spread his wings out to stretch them and possibly show the girl she couldn't escape. A small meow like sound came from behind the girl.

"Mew." She accidentally said. She clamped her hands over her mouth and willed it all to go away. It was bad enough she was the one who stepped on the stick, now meowing! Dang!

AJ stopped, but still kept her defensive stance, never tearing her eyes away from both of them. She heard a meow and saw the girl approaching from behind. She was trapped.

"What do you want?" AJ asked warily. She normally would've shifted, but she didn't want to expose her identity.

.:Hawke:.

"We just want to know why you're here. How did you find us?" He took a step closer. "And uh, how did you get across the river?"

She felt weird cornering someone but she did it anyway.

AJ took a step back. "First of all, I didn't find you. You found me."

"And second of all-" She hesitated, trying to think of a good lie, which she was usually terrible at coming up with. "I......swam."

It sounded more like a question than an answer. She mentally slapped herself, feeling like an idiot.

"You're definately dripping wet!" She giggled and smiled. She glanced at Hawke and could tell he saw right through the lie as well. "You can tell us, don't worry! If you haven't noticed were not all that normal either!" She said, possibly overkilling the preppy thing.

AJ relaxed a little. "I noticed."

"But, first of all, who are you?" She asked.

"I'm Evelyn, or Eevee. Whichever floats your boat. And this is Hawke." Her eyes sparkled as she looked at him. "He's in charge around here."
"Not really." Hawke spoke up. "So, now who are you?" He relaxed his wings and folded them back.

"I'm AJ," she said, trying not to stare at Hawke. She saw the way Eeve stared at him.

"And what do you mean he's the boss around here? Are there any more people here?" She asked wide-eyed.

.:Hawke:.
"Well...no." He admitted. "But we've seen others and heard of others. There's something about this place. It's like we all get drawn here. So that leads us back to you. What are you?"

"Come on! Let's go back to whatchamacallit!" Eevee said singsong like.
"Whatchamacallit is the nickname Evelyn gave to our...camp. She couldn't think of anything." Hawke explained

"Okay," Lexie said gladly. She followed them throughout and through-in the woods, jumping over a few logs until they reached the campsite (A.K.A wathcamakallit) that Eeve was talking about.

Evelyn looked around camp. The trees looked old. She still wondered who had planted them in the circle. Perhaps another one of us. On the ground under the biggest tree was a store tent. They had taken out of someones backyard. Eevee had felt so bad she left a note saying sorry. The tent had two "rooms" and a little area in the middle. The one on the right was hers and the left Hawke's. Occasionally they slept in the middle on cold nights, but it wasn't a romantic thing, it was a "I-hope-we-survive-the-cold" kind of thing.
Three backpacks lay under a different tree, and one hung from a tree branch.

Eevee glanced at Hawke who was inspecting the new girl.

"So AJ where do you live?"

"Well, obviously from across the river." She said smiling. "But if you want to know I live with my cousin Abbey nearby."

She paused to take in the view. "Nice place you got here."
"Where'd you get the tent?"

.:Hawke:.

He looked at Evelyn and could tell he should answer. Her face was red from embarrassment. "Somebody left it outside. I think they were going to clean it. We should of waited till they did." He smiled a crooked smile.
Evelyn flipped her blue hair and he saw her neck was still dyed blue. The black tips looked good he had to say. She turned into the half cat again. Black ears and a tail.
He waited to see what AJ would say.

"So, what do you guys do here in the forest?" AJ asked. "Seems like you don't have any checkers......"

Hawke looked confused. He opened his mouth to ask.
Eevee quickly but in, "No we don't. I don't know how to play anyway. Well we go places..."
"Yesterday we went to Paris." Hawke said, then continued, "No I'm just joking. We went to Seattle."

AJ smiled sheepishly at the akward silence. "Anyway, um, I better be getting back, Abbey will worry." She turned on her heels biting her tongue knowing she lied terribly. Honestly she wasn't going to Abbey. Just somewhere else.
